It has finally happened! Last week on 29th April, we saw the complete lift of all COVID-19 Japan border measures, meaning visitors are no longer required to show valid vaccination or test certificates to enter the country! Visit Japan Web continues but only as a convenient online way for travellers to get ahead of the usual arrival procedures, avoid the airport-hassle and hit the Japanese ground running!

It is truly shaping up to be an exciting month for both Japan and the UK! While our friends over in the Japan come towards the end of their Golden Week, we Brits are, of course, getting ready for the one of the most momentous events in our recent history; the coronation of King Charles III! The world’s attention will also turn to Japan later this month between the 19th and 21st May, when the leaders of G7 member countries will gather in Hiroshima for the 49th G7 Summit.
