Long time, no sea

June marched in with a heatwave, just in time for some pride month celebrations, and when the sun gave up on us, the Euros and Wimbledon kicked off a summer of sport with the eternal question: "is it coming home?"

Meanwhile, Japan saw the opening of its first café with robot waiters remotely controlled by disabled workers and plans to open a Demon Slayer attraction at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka!

Let’s take a look at what else is going on with Japan right now, plan your Japan visit for later, and check out our Postcards from Japan on June's foodie theme ENRYO NO KATAMARI, or the last bit of food everyone is too polite to touch!

Delicious Japanese cuisine is the best part of every trip to Japan, so this month we asked our friends on the ground for that one dish they'll clear their plate for every time.

Here are a couple of things we learnt along the way:
1) Shinjuku Nichome's 7Eleven is the best place to meet queer people in Tokyo 🌈
2) Osaka hides all the best places for stuffing your face with Japanese food! 🍜
3) Tokyo’s 'Shitamachi' areas are amazing for 'off the beaten path' adventures 🚶‍♂️
