The snuggle is real
 
January brought with it sprinkles of snow, dreams of snow men and snowball fights (but maybe nothing quite like Japan's famous yuki-gassen!).
Most of us emerged from #Japanuary with at least one sighting of the white stuff, while Japan saw record levels of snowfall leave the Sea of Japan coast blanketed.

We love it snow much...
... when you find a flavour that strikes a chord with your inner foodie. Every time you order it, you unconsciously order a family-sized portion. Your mind is telling you 'no', but your body is telling you 'YES'. That's KUIDAORE 食い倒れ - 'to eat till you drop'!
 
With end of year celebrations behind us, we entered the cosiest month of the year, filled with warmth and leftover chocolate treats and Japan was no different. People indulged in some 'shogatsu-futori' or 'the weight you gain over the festive New Year period'!
 
Japan has countless foods that we all cherish and try to reproduce at home so we asked our friends about the food they could KUIDAORE any day of the week.
 
Here are a couple of things we discovered together:
1) Cat-lovers will rejoice wherever in Japan, from Onomichi to Tashirojima's cat shrine! 🐈
2) Nikko National Park is a perfect place for beginners looking to hike in Japan! ⛰️
3) Some okonomiyaki shops in Hiroshima use cookers salvaged from 1940s warships! 🍳
