Japan is full of fresh ways of looking at life...
...and many are rooted in difficult to translate concepts.
In July, as more and more of us were finally able to see our loved ones again, we decided to look at the word KIZUNA / 絆.
KIZUNA is usually translated as something like 'connectedness' but we sat down with some Japanese locals to hear their inspiring stories and find out what we can learn from it.
Some things we discovered along the way:

1) Making traditional fans is an absolute art form, with a total of 21 intricate steps 🥵

2) A coastal hike can help heal the emotional wounds of an entire region 🏞️

3) If your drab-looking face mask is getting you down - ask a Tokyo drag queen! 😷
